Any queries please email admin@newburypark.redbridge.sch.uk.

Admissions are considered as follows: –

  1. Looked after children and children previously looked after but immediately after being looked after become subject to an adoption, residence order or special guardianship order.  A looked after child is a child who is in care of a Local Authority as defined by Section 22 of the Children Act 1989.

  2. Siblings – with preference to older children according to their date of birth, preference will only be given to those with siblings who will still be in attendance at the date of the admission.

  3. All other applicants, with preference to older children according to their date of birth.

Admission to a nursery class does not guarantee admission to the main school. You will need to apply again for a place in a reception class through the London Borough of Redbridge at the appropriate time.  If you child does not attend nursery or has a place in another early years setting this will not affect their chance when applying for school admission.

The Statutory Right to appeal does not apply to admissions to Nursery Classes.

Dear Families

On behalf of all the staff and governors, it gives us great pleasure to welcome you and your child to Newbury Park Primary School.

We have a strong sense of community and a nurturing ethos that recognises the importance of meeting the needs of the whole child and fostering a ‘can do’ approach to learning.  We recognise our moral obligation in providing children with the skills and confidence to prosper in today’s society, and the part we can play in the wider world.

We put learning first and we do this so that our pupils are given the chance to become successful individuals within a safe and secure environment. We strive for high standards so that our pupils can achieve, and we expect considerate behaviour to be an essential part of this.

Education is for All, pupils and adults alike, and our curriculum is developing so that we can provide purposeful, varied and enriched activities.  There are many opportunities to celebrate the achievements of the children through a range of community events and school gatherings throughout the year.

Our aim is to develop pupils that are confident communicators, not only using the basic skills of literacy and numeracy, but also applying these in a creative way to develop expression and problem solving abilities.

We recognise that sometimes things can go wrong and so welcome the views and thoughts of all associated with the school.  The home/school partnership is important to us, and your child’s learning and well-being.  If you require further information or support, please speak to your child’s class teacher, or refer to our communication guidelines. We wish your child every success and happiness at Newbury Park.
