Admissions Criteria

Applications are considered based on the following priorities:

1. Looked After Children: This includes children currently in the care of a Local Authority or previously looked after children who have become subject to adoption, residence orders, or special guardianship orders as defined by Section 22 of the Children Act 1989.

2. Siblings: Preference is given to older children with siblings currently attending the school at the time of admission.

3. All Other Applicants: Places are allocated to older children first, based on their date of birth.

Please Note:

  • Admission to Nursery does not guarantee a place in Reception. A separate application must be made to the London Borough of Redbridge for a Reception place.
  • Whether or not your child attends a Nursery or another early years setting will not affect their chance of being admitted to Reception.
  • The statutory right to appeal does not apply to Nursery admissions.
