At Newbury Park, we are excited to introduce French as part of our modern foreign languages curriculum, using the Rachel Hawkins French Scheme. This comprehensive and engaging programme introduces children to the French language and culture in a fun and interactive way. Pupils develop skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, building confidence in using French for everyday conversations. The scheme incorporates songs, games, and role-playing activities to make learning enjoyable and memorable. As pupils progress, they explore vocabulary, grammar, and cultural topics, developing an appreciation for the language and its global significance. We aim to inspire curiosity about languages and nurture a lifelong passion for French.
